Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I know if a practitioner is qualified?
A. Practitioners current in their registration with the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia are listed on the internation website directory www.bowtech.com

Q. What is the normal interval between sessions?
A. Sessions last between 40 – 60 minutes, and ideally, take place approximately 5 -10 days apart.  Although people often notice significant benefits after just one session, most therapists will recommend a follow up session.

Some chronic conditions may require ongoing, long-term sessions

Q. How safe is Bowen Therapy?
A. Bowen Therapy uses such a gentle level of touch that it is considered to be one of the safest of therapies.  This gentleness means that it is ideal for use on people of all ages – from newborns through to the elderly.
